Description: After countless hours of engineering, design, refinement, and optimization, the Gen. II APIKOL front mount intercooler (FMIC) kit is now available for 1992-1995.5 S4/S6 cars. The APIKOL FMIC relocates the intercooler from the stock side-mount location to the front of the vehicle for improved airflow and cooling capacity. The new intercooler design incorporates S4/S6 specific CAD designed cast aluminum end-tanks to achieve vastly improved internal airflow characteristics and cooling, resulting in gains of 30+hp and 50+ft-lbs of torque. In addition, the new intercooler will fit ALL Ur-S cars (R-12 and R-134 air conditioning systems) with minimal modification to plastic bumper components. The Gen. II kit is a bolt-in modification, utilizing factory mounting points and DOES NOT REQUIRE ANY CUTTING of the structural bumper support. As with the previous generation APIKOL intercooler kit, the new intercooler is based on a bar and plate design which is fully TIG welded (measuring 3.5”x10”x18”) and includes all hardware, mandrel bent beaded aluminum plumbing, mounting brackets, Samco silicon hoses, and hose clamps.
